Every month we bring you fresh, hand-picked smartphone recommendations across different budgets. Last month we covered the ₹40,000, ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 segments. This time we’re tackling the ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 range.
Honestly, this segment has become tricky. Prices are going up across the board — phones that used to sit comfortably under ₹20,000 are now creeping past it, so you’ll find a mix of new and slightly older models on this list. If you’re not in a hurry, keep using the phone you already own. But if you’re seriously planning an upgrade, here are the options worth your money right now.
Quick note: Prices change frequently. Treat the figures below as approximate street prices at the time of writing — always check the latest offer before buying.

7. Vivo T5x — Battery Beast on a Budget (~₹22,000 – ₹23,000)
We recently compared this with the Realme P4x. Prices have crept up but it still offers a lot.

Still one of the most underrated options, and at this price you also get 256GB storage.

If you specifically want a Samsung, this is now the sensible choice in this range.

Verdict: Samsung’s mid-range cameras remain a strong point. The 6-year update commitment is the longest on this list.
10. Vivo T4 / iQOO Z10 — Vivo Alternative (~₹25,000)
For those specifically wanting a Vivo/iQOO at the top of this budget.
- Chipset: Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (note: 7s Gen 4 phones are available for just a couple thousand more)

- Selfie: 32MP, 4K video
- Battery: 7300 mAh, 90W charging

11. OnePlus Nord CE 5 — Honourable Mention (~₹25,000 if available)
At the time of writing this was largely unavailable online — likely because OnePlus is pushing the new Nord CE 6. Worth grabbing from an offline OnePlus store if you can.
- Chipset: Dimensity 8350 — excellent
- Storage: LPDDR5X / UFS 3.1
- Display: AMOLED, 120Hz
- Speakers: Single (average)
- Battery: Large capacity

Verdict: If you can find it at or below ₹25,000, this is still a brilliant buy thanks to the chipset and longer software support.
Final Thoughts
Picking the “best phone under ₹25,000” has genuinely become harder. Prices have climbed, and many newly launched phones in this range come with noticeable compromises. That’s why this list intentionally mixes new and slightly older models — these are simply the ones I’d actually recommend today.
